Wednesday drop-in

Wednesday Drop In Peer pod

Our Wednesday drop-in Peer Pod welcomes anyone living with multiple sclerosis (MS). There is no set theme, so conversations can be around any topics that you’d like, whether MS related or not

This session is hosted by two of our volunteers – Simon and Lisa and is held weekly on a Wednesday afternoon at 2pm. Everyone is welcome, so please do come and say hello – the more the merrier!

If you’re interested and would like to know more, please fill out our sign up form. Our Peer Support Coordinator Vicky will get in touch with you shortly.

Meet your Peer Pod host…

‘Hi there, my name is Lisa and I was diagnosed with MS 24 years ago when I was 23. I worked as a primary school teacher and special needs co-ordinator until 2018, when I took medical retirement.

I have an amazing husband and a beautiful dog, and my favourite hobby is exploring new places to ‘walk’. My version of walking means using my mobility scooter, and I love the fact that it allows me to get out in the fresh air.

I like to look for the funny side of things wherever I can. It took me a long time to learn to live with my MS; MS-UK has helped me no end through exercise classes, workshops and of course Peer Pods. It is so helpful to have the support of these groups. Nobody should feel alone with MS and if you have a question or a concern, or just fancy a chat, they are a great place to start.’
