Many of us are missing our barber or hairdresser during isolation, and as a result, our hair is getting longer and sometimes out of control! Why not make the most of this opportunity and use your luscious locks to make a difference to people affected by multiple sclerosis.
Be bold and commit to shaving your hair off to raise money for MS-UK!
Follow the simple steps below...
Set up your fundraising page, we definitely recommend using JustGiving as it’s very easy to use and simple to share with your connections
Let everyone know what you are doing. Social media is great for this! Remember to tell everyone that you are fundraising for MS-UK, so include the link to your fundraising page. It might be a good idea to add a picture of your hair as it is! Top tip if you tag MS-UK in to your post, we can share this for you too!
Ask a member of your household if they will do the deed for you, and make sure you have hair clippers that work! If you are living alone, then not a problem...plan to shave your hair yourself!
Set a date and let everyone know when it will be!
It’s show time! Remember to take a before and after picture. Why not arrange to live stream the shave on Facebook for everyone to see! You may even gain more supporters this way! Top tip you can add a donate button to your livestream as another way for people to sponsor you!
Congratulations, you have done it! Make sure you share a photo of your new look and include your fundraising page so that you capture any last sponsors!
Add up your total fundraising and thank everyone who sponsored you. Whether someone donated £1 or £50, every single penny makes a difference and helps to ensure we can support people affected by MS!
