With everyone spending more time at home lately, you may be looking for ways to occupy your children. Fundraising is a great way to motivate your children to do something positive and creates a real sense of achievement when the challenge or task is completed! What’s even better is that they will be helping others and making a real difference to those affected by multiple sclerosis.
We’ve come up with some ways that you can entertain or keep you little ones busy, and at the same time raise crucial funds for MS-UK. Feel free to come up with your own ideas; we’d love to hear how inventive you could be!
MS-UK Ice-olation Challenge
Have you seen our new Ice-olation Challenge? We love the idea and we’d love your support to get your friends and family involved too. The idea is simple. Get creative and come up with your very own icy masterpiece (water is plentiful and we are all looking for fun things to do at home).
Once you’ve crafted your masterpiece share your creation for a donation on Facebook, nominating three people you’d like to get involved and take on the challenge and tag MS-UK. Simply create a new post on your Facebook page, upload a picture of your work, click the “support non-profit” button, search for and select MS-UK and post to your page. Bingo!
Let’s see how far we can go to provide inspiration to the nation during isolation. Together we can make a huge difference to MS-UK.
Get in the garden
Why not start a sunflower growing competition? Set up a JustGiving page or a Facebook fundraiser and ask your friends and family to guess how tall the sunflower will grow for sponsorship. Can it get taller than you?
Challenge your mini soldiers to a boot camp style fitness challenge. This could be a homemade assault course in your garden, or a fitness challenge in your front room (star jumps, bunny hops...) Get them to video themselves to complete it and challenge their friends to do it too - don’t forget to ask for a donation to MS-UK!
Design a quiz, crossword, word search or even create a picture to be coloured in. Send it over to your friends and challenge them to complete it, ask for a donation for taking part and then ask them to make you one in return!
