December may feel like it was ages ago, but you may still have a MS-UK Christmas collection box at home and I wanted to let you know how you could send the money in to us before we close the appeal at the end of February!

Happy New Year from the fundraising team at MS-UK! And what a brilliant subject to write our first blog post of 2017 on, our Winter Draw. This year with your help the Winter Draw raised £3,696! Your Winter Draw entries looked a little like snow in our ticket container, and as we drew out the names of the winners there was certainly a similar feeling to the excitement of a white Christmas! To be able to give some great prizes back to our festive fundraisers who took part in the draw was an amazing feeling! So, without further ado, I’d like to announce some of our lucky winners!
Combined with everything you did for our Festive Frolic campaign you all raised over £6,000 for MS-UK!
We would like to say thank you to everyone that took part. Whether you bought a Winter Draw ticket, held a Festive Frolic for your friends and family or organised a bag packing event at your local supermarket, you helped raise vital funds to keep our services running! If you want to find out more or have an amazing idea for a fundraiser in 2017, please get in touch with me by phone on 01206 226 500 or by email! We are very much looking forward to 2017! Tuesday 29 November is known as #GivingTuesday and this year we are asking people to do good stuff for it!
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fuelled by the power of social media and collaboration which kicks off the charitable season straight after Black Friday and Cyber Monday!
#GivingTuesday is a huge celebration of doing some good stuff for charity and to inspire as many people as possible. Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of this amazing day and support MS-UK!
Thanks for all your support!

With so many creative ideas coming from our supporters it was about time I got involved with a Festive Frolic of my own!
So, when one of my best friends Lucy offered to hand-make some Christmas cards and sell them on behalf of MS-UK it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get some friends together.
The evening started early at 7 pm and friends and neighbours dropped by to buy cards and Winter Draw tickets and have a glass of fizz. By the end of the night all of the cards were sold and a few of us stayed on for a good old natter and to finish up the Prosecco.
It was a great excuse to get friends together, meet new people and raise money for MS-UK at the same time!
So with that in mind, it’s not too late to organise a Festive Frolic of your own! If you don’t fancy hosting your own party you could make a donation and wear a festive jumper or woolly hat to work?
Or you could have a family and friends minced pie bake off! All donations from pie sales to MS-UK!
So my advice to you is don your Santa hats, get your reindeer jumpers on and bake some mince pies and hold a festive get together all in aid of a great cause!

You may be wondering what exactly a Festive Frolic is? Well, it can be one of three things…
Whatever you decide to do, if you register before 31 October you’ll get a free goody bag from us to get you started…which includes the lovely Myles, our MS-UK mascot!
Good luck, and do get in touch if you have any questions! Email me at Nicholas@ms-uk.org or give me a call on 01206 226500!
This winter at MS-UK we are encouraging you to host your own Festive Frolic to help us fundraise for our services!
What is a Festive Frolic you say?
Well, it could be anything! Maybe a get together with mulled wine and mince pies, a bag pack at your local supermarket or even a collection on your local high street. As long as you are sharing in the festivities, it really is up to you!
Now this is where the fun bit comes in! If you register your Festive Frolic before 31 October, we will send you your own personalised goody bag! Filled with lots of lovely treats, from a mini Myles bear to balloons, your goody bag will also include all the info you need to help you organise your Frolic!
Alternatively, you can get in touch with me by email on Nicholas@ms-uk.org or phone me on 01206 226500 and I can send you your very own goody bag!
I’m really looking forward to hearing about all of your great Festive Frolics so don’t forget to get in touch and send me some pictures of your events!
