Effects of MS

Man with children

A diagnosis of MS means that life will change; those changes are not confined to the person diagnosed with MS but extend to their family, friends and work colleagues too.

Armed with information, resources and support, those changes can be managed effectively so that life can continue to be rewarding, exciting and fulfilling. However, at MS-UK we are realistic and don’t try to pretend that all those changes will be good; for example, you may face financial difficulties or emotional problems, or your children may not understand what is going on with their mum or dad. Sharing these issues can help you to understand what’s happening, examine the options and find solutions that work for you.

At MS-UK we have a team of advisors ready to talk about any aspect of MS, including welfare and benefits advice. Contact us on 0800 783 0518 or by clicking here.
