One of the most popular diets and lifestyle programmes for people with MS is coming to Brighton on 22 October 2017. Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis will be hosting a one-day conference event at AMEX stadium.
The comprehensive day will include a number of presentations, focusing on the seven steps of the Recovery Program, including diet, sunlight and vitamin D, exercise, meditation, medication, preventing family members from getting MS and doing whatever it takes to overcome MS.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, new to OMS or someone who has already been on the Recovery Program for some time, this event will have value for all.
Kellie, age 41, a high school English teacher and mum of two, who lives near Cardiff in Wales said she had just discovered OMS through a random Google search of the exact words ‘Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis’. She attended Professor Jelinek’s one-day conference in Brighton back in 2013 where she learned all about the OMS Recovery Program, the science behind it and adopted the recommendations immediately.
“The diet was a huge change because I was eating absolute rubbish before that, lots of meat, dairy and saturated fat,” she said. “But it was like a switch went on in my mind. I don’t miss the old way of eating; I’m cooking a lot now which I never used to do before, and I’m eating amazing food.”
“I’m back at work full-time now, have had promotions, and I’ve run a triathlon and cycled 100 miles,” she said. “The fatigue has gone, the numbness has gone, and I’ve had no more relapses. It has made such a huge difference to my life.”
